Sunday 6 June 2010
Robertson Park
The theme for this year's Gala Day is biodiversity. We celebrate life on earth with lots of activities, competitions and entertainment!
Members of the Arts and Museums Outreach Team are working with local community groups, the Community Council and Renfrew Youth Forum to create a fun filled day for all the family.
You'll be able to see the results of costume and drama workshops run with local groups from the Cherrie Centre, Kirklandneuk Community Centre and Renfrew High School After School in the parade and on the stage.
Right 2 Dance will also create a dance piece which will be performed on the main stage.
On Gala Day you can
- See the parade wind through Renfrew, ending at Robertson Park.
- Watch the official opening, with the Renfrew Citizen of the Year
- Enjoy the on-stage entertainment throughout the afternoon
- Join in the fun: dozens of charity stalls for you to browse, younger members of the family can enjoy the funfair rides, while the older ones try their luck at the many sideshows.
