Pupils from St James Primary and Arkleston Primary schools, both Renfrew, represented Renfrewshire's children at the event on Friday 7 November.
This is the third year Renfrewshire has held a children’s armistice service and is believed to be the first authority to hold a service of this kind.
The pupils formed a procession outside Paisley Town Hall before marching towards the Cenotaph in Paisley town centre.
They were joined by the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire, Guy Clark, Renfrewshire’s Provost Celia Lawson and Renfrewshire Council Leader Derek Mackay. A guard of honour was provided by the 101st Air Squadron.
Cara Longwill and Andrew Barnsley, both P6 at Arkleston Primary, and Cara McKinney, P6, St James Primary gave poetry readings.
Then Scott Mitchell, P6 at Arkleston Primary, and Anna Feeney, also P6, from St James primary laid a wreath on the Paisley Cenotaph.
The event was jointly organised by Renfrewshire Council and the British Legion.
Provost Lawson said: "I am extremely proud that here in Renfrewshire our school children are able to play such a major role in honouring Armistice Day. It is important that as they grow older they continue to remember the events of the past and present history which have shaped all of our lives."
