Delegation from Shanghai Institute of Tourism visit Reid Kerr College
A delegation from the Shanghai Institute of Tourism (SIT) visited Reid Kerr college recently as part of a partnership agreement between the two institutions.

Professor Jun Gao, Vice President of SIT arrived along with five members of his senior staff for a 4-day visit to Scotland.

The delegation met with senior members of staff at the college and were given a tour of the college's main campus as well as a visit to Moorcroft Sports Centre to see the college's sports facilities. The visitors were also in Scotland to visit some of the country's premier leisure destinations to discuss future internships for their students, combined with a study programme at the college. The group rounded off their visit with a trip to the Highlands and Edinburgh.

John Baird, head of centre for leisure industries said, "This was the first time we had welcomed a delegation from SIT and it was a pleasure to show our international visitors what Reid Kerr and Scotland have to offer. We are delighted to be in partnership with such a prestigious organisation who maintain an excellent international profile with numerous links in Asia and the Pacific."

Pictured is the delegation from SIT including visiting lecturer Clint Liu Bin who is currently on a teaching secondment with the Centre for Leisure Industries at Reid Kerr for 20 weeks. Clint is teaching a variety of hospitality and tourism related subjects to Reid Kerr students.
