Reid Kerr Sports Lecturer, Jo-Ann Kennedy has been invited over the past four years to aid in the delivery of Shotokan Karate courses in Reykjavik, Iceland. Jo-Ann a European Silver Medallist, British Bronze Medallist, Scottish Open Champion, 5 times successive Scottish Junior Champion and 4th Dan, is returning to Iceland this February to deliver another course.
The four day course takes place just outside of Reykjavik and caters for over 100 students, beginner to advanced.

The students practice various basic techniques as well as being introduced to new kata (forms) and kumite (fighting) techniques.
Jo-Ann said, “This has been a great opportunity to experience coaching at an international level and to develop coaching skills. The students are all very enthusiastic and take their training very seriously. It is a privilege to coach such dedicated karateka.”
