Get your finger on the pulse of your career and find out about the NC Medical Secretaries course at Reid Kerr? Starting August this year, you can study a National Certificate (NC) Medical Secretary course open to anyone searching for a career within a challenging administrative field.
The course has been designed to offer a wide range of key skills including Word Processing, IT for Administrators and Medical Terminology. The programme provides a good grounding in office technology and medical administration and is ideal for employment in GP Surgeries and Hospitals.
Medical Secretary student Ruth Shepherd, 38 from Inchinnan completes the NC this year and has already secured a job with a local hospital. She said, “Reid Kerr has a great reputation and the course has helped me achieve my goal of gaining full-time employment within a hospital environment.”
The programme is complimented by a work placement with a local General Practice, which gives candidates the opportunity to complete a hands-on element to the course, gaining real experience. Successful candidates are not only offered a guaranteed interview at local hospitals, but also the opportunity to continue with Higher National level programmes at Reid Kerr.
