The Council's housing advice and homeless services are based in the Abercorn Street Service, 15 Abercorn Street, Paisley, PA3 4AA.

If you are homeless, threatened with homelessness, or need advice about your rights in privately rented accommodation, we can help.

The type of advice and information we give you will depend on your individual circumstances, for example:

Getting in touch

Our office is open 8.45am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 3.55pm on Friday's. Housing Advice & Homeless Services also operates an emergency service for anyone made homeless outwith office hours. The telephone number for the out of hours service is: 0800 811 505 or 0141 305 6970. This is a freephone number from BT landlines although other mobile phone providers may charge for these calls.

Homelessness Strategy
A new Homelessness Strategy is currently being developed. The original Homelessness Strategy 2003-08 explains the Council's position on homelessness. It details how we, together with our partners, will make sure that homelessness services develop in line with the needs and aspirations of local people. The Strategy is available for download from the Related Content menu on the right.
