Search the library catalogue

Important note: From 16 January 2009 it will not be possible to renew or reserve items online through SWIRL.
This is because we are changing to a new improved library catalogue at the end of January.

The catalogue is called SWIRL (See What's In Renfrewshire Libraries). It contains the entire lending stock of all Renfrewshire Libraries including books, CDs, language packs and DVDs.

Some older Local studies and reference stock is still being added to the online catalogue, a full stock list is available from the catalogue in Paisley Central Library. For more information, please contact the Reference and Local Studies Library using the links on the right.

Reservations and Renewals
Library members can renew and reserve online by using my account.

You may also reserve and renew library books and media by phone or in person at any library.

Can't find what you are looking for?
The catalogue contains over 350,000 items and also provides details of other published items that are not in our libraries' stock. If you want to borrow something which is not in the catalogue or to request a journal article, please contact your local library and staff will be happy to help you. Library members can use the online Stock Suggestion form when they start using SWIRL to submit proposals for additions to stock.

Reservation charges
A small charge may be added to your library account for each reservation you make.
