Renfrewshire’s second Homelessness Strategy 2010 – 2015 was launched in April 2010. The second strategy seeks to build on the progress and success of the previous strategy in tackling and preventing homelessness for the next 5 years. It details how we, together with our partners, will ensure that homeless services develop in line with the needs of homeless households.
Renfrewshire Homelessness Partnership was officially launched in September 2009 and all partners have fully endorsed the new strategy. The partnership is committed to taking forward and implementing the strategy to help achieve our long term vision of preventing and alleviating homelessness in Renfrewshire. To realise this vision the strategy focuses on 4 key outcomes;
- Prevention - we have prevented people from becoming homeless
- Access to Services - people who become homeless have access to effective services
- Housing Options - the range of housing options for homeless people has improved
- Sustainable Solutions - people who have experienced homelessness are able to sustain their housing.
